Involve Students in the Learning Process
Students delight in being involved in the learning
process. Moreover, people who are involved in their learning learn faster.
Have students write the end to stories in English classes.
Give students a choice of books to read in English and social studies.
In history class, ask students, "What if the South had won the Civil War? What if Germany had won WWII?
What if Al Gore had won the 2004 presidential election?
WHAT IF...Hitler had won WWII or Jonas Salk had not
found the polio virus?"
What kinds of questions could you
use for music, art, math, and English?
Bring an object into school and have the students identify it.
In mathematics, it could be something as simple as a slide rule.
You might bring an object into school and have the students make a story up about the object.
